ABOUT GRACE KERR

I am an illustrator and artist creating atmospheric, story-driven artwork inspired by nature, folklore, and quiet human moments. My practice sits between fine art and illustration, with a focus on mood, symbolism, and narrative.

My work is particularly suited to book covers, editorial illustration, and literary projects. Through carefully balanced colour palettes and organic forms, I aim to create images that feel contemplative, timeless, and gently immersive.

Alongside personal and studio work, I am available for commissioned illustration projects and enjoy collaborating with authors, editors, and creative teams to develop imagery that supports written narratives and conceptual ideas. I approach each project with care, openness, and a strong respect for the story at its core.

I am based in Canada and available for commissions internationally.

bio

Grace Kerr is a multidisciplinary artist originally from Birmingham, UK  and now based in the mountains of British Columbia, Canada. Surrounded by forests, alpine lakes, and shifting seasons, Grace has developed a deep connection to nature that now underpins her practice.

Grace’s artworks carry a dreamlike quality —  subtly magical, and tinged with a quiet sense of mystery. She draws inspiration from the natural world, folklore, and the small details that often go unnoticed: the way light strikes a leaf, the curve of a mushroom hidden in the forest, or the fog settling over autumn trees. Her work ranges from fantastical figures and gentle creatures to introspective self-portraits.

Whether illustrating a forest nymph, creating a surreal portrait, or weaving a narrative around an imagined creature, Grace seeks to capture the subtle magic that exists beyond the mundane. Her artworks invite viewers to slow down, look closer, and see the wonder that lies hidden in everyday life.
